Historically, the land contains many artifacts and evidences of by-gone years in the Ozarks, with old narrow rock bridges (with springs running underneath) built for the Old Wire Road still in evidence.  There is even a partial rock wall fence that is very, very old.  This road, (the owner believes to have been) built in the 1800's, followed the telegraph line from St. Louis to Oklahoma and was a vital link to communications in the Ozarks, as it was used as a stagecoach route as well as local travel.  The road may have been used during the Civil War to transport troops throughout southwest Missouri and on into Arkansas and Kansas.  Numerous battlefields are located in southwest Missouri and contain thousands of artifacts from these bloody battle sites.
